*Cooking Riso Venere

Riso Venere is a deep mahogany colored rice that has a rich, nutty flavor and is one of our favorites.
However, you don't cook it like regular rice. You cook it more like pasta.

INGREDIENTS

Riso Venere Rice
Water

PREPARATION

Simply add 1 part venere rice to 3 parts water in a pot.
Bring all to a boil.
Cook for 30 - 40 minutes depending on how firm you like your rice.
When the rice is done, strain it in a colander with holes small enough not to allow the rice to fall through.

You can use it as a bed for meats, seafood, vegetables, or prepare it as a side. The options are completely open to your creativity.
